Hello! I am Rita Lampen, a Body Control Pilates® certified matwork teacher.

I teach small groups and private sessions in Hertfordshire and Essex, catering for everyone from absolute beginners to intermediate and beyond. 

Practised and praised by people of all ages and from all walks of life, Pilates is suitable for anyone from the super-fit to someone simply wishing to de-stress and to improve their basic health and fitness. It is successfully used to assist recovery from injuries, and to support the body in a wide variety of health conditions. The original challenging exercises can be broken down and adapted to suit any level of ability, safely building strength and flexibility to allow you to progress towards the more demanding repertoire.

I offer various group classes, which never hold more than 12 people, as well as private 1:1 tuition.  I always tailor my classes to the level and focus needed for each and every person.

If you are reasonably fit and/or have done Pilates in the past, a mixed level group could be a good place to begin. 

For a Pilates session tailored to particular needs, in case of injuries or problem areas, or if you’re just not used to exercise, a 1:1 class will be a great start. Get in touch to arrange a session. You can also arrange a small private session with a few friends in a similar situation. 

To progress an experienced ‘Pilates body’, my improvers/intermediate classes are aimed for people who know the basics of Pilates well, are fairly fit and hungry for further challenge!
